Starting out on the Pottery Wheel – £68

Description

You will get an hour with one of our experienced potters as part of a small group (no more than 6 students). During this hour, you will mainly focus on centering the clay and also have a go at pulling it up. You will then have another hour of independent wheel time immediately afterwards, in addition to a further two hours (independent) at a time of your choice.

What’s included in the price?

4 kilos of earthenware clay.

1 hour pottery throwing lesson with one of our experienced potters.

3 further hours independent wheel time (daytime, Thursday evening and weekend slots available)

What should I wear?

Please wear comfortable clothing that you are relaxed about getting messy. We recommend trousers as you’ll sit close to the wheel as you throw. No open toed shoes.
Please ensure long hair is tied back, jewellery, watches, long necklaces, scarves etc are removed. Please note that it is difficult to throw pots with long nails.

Wheel throwing classes are run in small groups, ensuring you receive the individual tuition you need. Additional clay can be purchased if required. Firing and glazing available for an extra cost.
