Beginners Knitting Course

4 week course starting Monday 6th March, 6-8pm

This course is aimed at complete beginners to knitting. You don’t need to have any knowledge of or previous experience of knitting.

By the end of the course, you will know how to:

• Cast on and off.
• Knit and purl stitches.
• Rib stitch.
• Increase and decrease stitches.
• Troubleshoot mistakes
• Read basic pattern.
• Complete a project (bobble hat)

During the course we will learn and talk about techniques, using our practice set of needles.

You will then have a second set to work on during studio time and continue working on at home. By the end of the course we will aim to complete our project piece.

We can provide needles for £5 for the two sets you’ll need. (6mm and 10mm)
Wool is a more personal choice, so please bring your own. I recommend buying a chunky yarn for your hat. I buy my wool on island at CraftWise, Earls Wood Garden Centre, Stitches.
